Privacy Policy
I (maxmoon) do everything I can to protect all users in this forum from privacy invasive companies like Google, Apple, Facebook (Meta), Amazon and Microsoft.
For this I don't use spyware like Google Analytics and I am not sharing the passion to make rich people richer, which many people have nowadays.
Reasons why data collection and processing is bad:
- It costs a lot of energy and produces tons of CO2 (especially if AI is involved)
- It endangers people's freedom and violates human rights with total surveillance
Protecting Privacy = Sustainability
Processed data
You agree that your data gets stored (e.g. username, email address, posts, uploads, ip address, etc.) and processed (e.g. high score lists in challenges, watermark on media, etc.).
There is only an internal forum extension, which collects data for small statistics, like amount of users, discussions and post and when they were created. This data will not leave the utopify server.
Cookies
Cookies will be set for members to keep them logged in.
Third Party Tools
I am trying to remove as many connections to other websites as possible to protect privacy, but in some cases it isn't possible or just difficult to implement.
The forum software Flarum uses third party tools like Font-Awesome to show special fonts and uses Cloudflares CDN (Content Delivery Network).
Please give us feedback if you find other third party tools (sometimes a software update could provide unseen third party tools) or if you know a way to remove them.
Data Ownership
Data on this server/forum belongs to utopify.org (maxmoon). It is not allowed to sell, hotlink or process it.
With every upload/post, users give permission to utopify.org (maxmoon) to use the data in any way they want (e.g. compression, resizing, publishing, deletion, editing, etc.)
Posts, uploads or whole accounts can be edited or deleted without any warning (e.g. spam, violating rules, etc.)
